Over the winter break I will be shopping for christmas presents and spending time with my family. I will also be looking forward to relaxing and being able to spend time with my family. I believe that the break will help me relax and feel rejuventaed for coming back to school. I am going to get my mind of school though to have a productive christmas and new years break.

I am going to Antarctica to meet killer whales and the penguins. I am going over there to research the penguins and there habitat with my father who is scientist. I am then going back home to pack and go to New York to see the lights on the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. I am also going to visit my brother in New Jersey who just had a baby who is 2 months old. She is so cute.

For new years I am going to be home just having fun with the family and lighting up fireworks. For the rest of the break I am just going to go home and do nothing at all and just watch movies and spend time with my friends. It is going to be so fun over the Christmas and New Years break. Over the Christmas break i will miss my friends, but I am going to be having so much fun that i wont even think about it that much. Christmas break will help me organize everything before i go back to school. I am wishing i will get the presents that i want from my mom and dad and brother and sister. I am hoping for and IPhone.

Christmas only comes once a year. Many people do not celebrate Christmas, but I am one of some that do. I love Christmas, it is my favorite holiday. Christmas is a special time of year because of the fact that it has to do with being together. I love spending time with my family and having that quality time where everyone is together, and unfortunately it comes once a year. I love it because i love the family, food and tradition. Christmas is something very special to me because of the fact that it is the only time when i get to see my whole family at once, family that live in other states or that just don't come around as often as they should. We all get together to celebrate the special holiday of Christmas.

The first thing we love to do, is wake up in the morning and turn on some Christmas music, open the windows to get that chilly air feeling of Christmas and snuggle into warm blankets. Then we like to make breakfast with each other. The breakfast includes bacon, eggs, and Cinnamon buns. Then we wait around for all of our family to get to our house. We all get excited due to the fact that there are plenty and plenty of gifts under the real tree decorated blue, white and silver. Then we head over to our stockings to realize we have more than we thought we were going to have each year. Then our family arrives and the party begins.

Once everyone gets settled in and under warm blankets to relieve the chilly, crisp air coming through the fully opened windows. Then we start to unravel and open the pretty wrapped Christmas wrapping paper and the multicolored bows decorated in the right corner of the present. Everyone is happy after the fact of getting everything they had wished for. Then after spending time with everyone, we all decide to open the presents from their boxes and start to play, use or put into a special spot in the house. Everyone is thrilled that they got exactly what they had wished for, even down to the exact color. After all of this, everyone is hungry and we decide that we want our Italian food, instead of the regular American tradition of ham, we bake or cook Italian entrees and yummy deserts. This is why Christmas is my ultimate favorite holiday.

My vacation over Thanksgiving Break was good. I did many things over the break and did a lot of activities to keep myself busy over the 5 day break. On Tuesday we had school, but i didn't go because the before, Monday, i had to work a game and i got home at 10 and had a lot of homework to do, so i decided to stay home. Tuesday i slept in and finished up the homework from the night before and then took a nap and made dinner for my family. On Wednesday, i baked some cakes for Thanksgiving and made some things that had to refrigerate over night. I made 1 cake and 4 pies, and some dips that had to sit in the fridge.

I also made some homemade cranberry sauce, it turned out gross. On Thursday, i woke up at 9 in order to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then i started to make some other things that didn't have to sit over night. Such as, the stuffing that we stuffed into the turkey. We had family come over that i hadn't seen in awhile and we ate and watched the cowboys play. On Friday, i slept in while my parents went out to shop for Christmas on Black Friday. They had left at 5 and got home at 4 in the afternoon. Then we had gotten subs for dinner.

On Saturday, i waited for my mom to take me Christmas shopping but she had just gotten off of work from Friday night and was too tired to go shopping, so i cleaned the house for my mom. On Sunday, we always have a family tradition where my family comes over for dinner every Sunday for dinner. Then i cleaned up the kitchen and watched a Christmas movie then went to bed, to make it to school for today. My Thanksgiving Break was a relaxing one, and i did a lot of little things, but it refreshed me for today.

They've always been there for me, through thick and thin. No matter how hard times got they never gave up on me or never not helped me. They've always given me advice and taught me from right and wrong. These three people mean the world to me. I don't know what i would do without them, they've made me who i am today. They have always been the most important people in my life.

She's my mom, and my best friend. Her name is Cindy Ange Gray. My mom has always been there for me even when times were rough for her. She cares for me when I'm down and laughs with me when I'm happy. My mom is a person that has always been a caring and warm person, who even though, may not always have people there for her, she will always be there for you. She's always giving you advice but will never take advice from you because she thinks that its a sign of weakness and will deal with it on her own. I love her more than anything and i will always be there for her, like she is for me.

My sister is one of my favorite people because she is not only my sister but one of my true best friends, i go for her for everything and she will always tell me right thing to do. She never gives up on me because, although i may a lot to get off my chest or a lot to vent, she is always the person to have around because she never not gives you bad advice. She is always taking me shopping to cheer me up when I'm down. She does the best that she can to make me happy when i feel like nothing else can go wrong.

Alyssa Jeannie Jones. My best friend in the whole world. We have so many insiders and always make a bad situation into a funny one. Like, when I'm sad we will make up an insider to cheer me up and then that will be our new insider that we never stop talking about. I go to her about everything, down to what i should wear to impress a guy. I talk to her about all my problems and she comes to me about hers. We have best friend telepathy, when she says something, we think of the same thing and say it at the same time. We always have the best conversations and people wish that they could have a best friend relationship like we do. I'm always going to her and she always comes to me. She's my best friend for life and we are conjoined at the hip.

Having your favorite people around can always cheer you up. For you to have a favorite person you have to trust them with everything in order to tell them about your problems. These three people may not be famous or anything like that, but to me they are the greatest people in the world. I never want to lose them, they give me great advice, help me out and just all around make me laugh. I love them so much and they are truly my best friends.

The article "Colleges Ward off Over Involved Parents" is about how parents are not letting their children go. They are babying them and doing almost everything for them, such as filling out applications for them to attend the college without the adolescent even attending it with the parent. It also talks about how some colleges are actually having programs for the parents and teaching them how to let go and let the adolescent grow up. It talks about certain parents and children that are doing this at a specific college. The parents in this article are very involved with their child's life and are not willing to let go just yet. Schools are doing this because they want their students to be young adults and be responsible for their own actions and responsibilities. They are also doing this to help out the parents in letting their child grow up and responsible adults. They want the students to come to their class prepared and doing things how they do it, not how their parents want them too.

I believe schools are right for doing this because if they don't do it, who will? Students and young adults need to learn the fact that their parents will not always be there for their parents to baby them. It teaches the adolescents how to grow up and show that in college you will not be babied and will not always have someone holding your hand along the way. Students will benefit from this because it will allow them to grow up and be the young adults they should be. It benefits them in a number of ways, it helps them with learning the responsibilities of a young adult. I believe my parents will not act like this, even though my parents encourage me and love me, they will not act over involved because they know that sometimes students just need their space in order to learn responsibilities. In my opinion i think its a great idea for colleges to have this program for the parents, its much needed if they want their child to grow up to be responsible mature adults. In conclusion, parents are way too involved and need to back up in order for their child to be the person that their parents want them to be.

Everyone is suffering from this horrible economic recession and its no different for the NBA. Many teams are having to cut back in order to stay financially stable. Teams are accomplishing this by cutting back on how much they spend on uniforms, halftime shows, and eliminating the benefits that employees receive. Teams are specifically taking out things that are not really needed and keeping things that are specifically are important. NBA teams make their money from ticket sales, merchandise, and concession stand sales, these are the three main things that bring in the money. In my opinion its better if a team cuts back on their jerseys and traveling cost because private jets are not needed.

The article "Megabucks" is about colleges raising money to be able to compete in sports. It also talks about how much money the college pays in order for the athletes to compete in the sport. The school spends $110,000 on each of its 980 athletes. It talks about the percentage of attractions the colleges get for each of the sport. OSU games routinely attract 60% of all local viewers. The schools or colleges bring in money by people who go to the sport have to pay to be able to view or see them play and that's how the college or school brings in the money because if that particular sport gets popular enough, they will raise a lot of money for the college. They make most of the money by football and basketball. But some sports also bring in money but not as much as college football and basketball. The UF football team brought in over $100 million a year into the local economy, with more than a third coming from fans' spending on hotels, food, parking and shopping.

The schools or colleges are spending the money in a very positive way. A significant chunk of the athletic department's budgets is spent in ways that will benefit the school's general fund. The athletic department will spend $12 million on scholarships or "grant an aid" to pay for an athletes tuition. It is very important to have a strong football program because that is where all the money for tuition and scholarships and "grant an aid" comes in. The football team makes enough money to help out the school in any money situation because if the football team gets popular enough, the fans' and even the enemy will show up and pay to get in and make the school get even more money and it helps out the money. In my opinion, i believe that it is good to have a football team to earn the school more money because it gives the school popularity and money for the school to be better. In conclusion, the college gets money and it puts toward the school and the college earns percentages and millions of dollars.

The article "Going to Bat" is about these two brothers who are Latin Americans that own a business to bring in more profit. It talks about how the two brothers used to play for major league baseball and they own businesses to bring in more profit for their company. It also talks about the two brothers' cousin who also got into the business with the brothers. The cousins' name is Augustin Perez who brings in a lot of profit for the brothers. A monthly pay he gives the brothers is $600, which covers the $10,000 investment and a share of the profits. The two brothers are named The Guerrero Brothers and they also own a business for seafood so that fishermen don't have to worry about catching all the seafood and it going to waste because it got spoiled. They also get money in from the tending to a farm and having workers work on the farm to earn even more profit so that they can be more rich than they already are.

What inspires the brothers to do what they are doing is to donate more things to their community other than baseball equipment to local charities. Mr. Guerrero has helped to put together a kind of economic development program for his hometown of 12,000. He and his brothers , who also played baseball professionally for U.S. teams, have launched a slew of business ventures that play a big role in reducing local poverty, including construction-supply stores. a propane distributorship, livestock and a vegetable farm. It is important for celebrities to give back to the community because it shows the community that people do care and it also gives the celebrity some good publicity. It shows that the celebrity is willing to give back. It could also benefit the community because when Augustin Perez asked for money from the brothers to buy a bus, that helped out the community because it gave them more transportation they already had before. The celebrity can be noticed as a helping hand and have people love that celebrity more than before because that celebrity is helping out to give back to the community.

The charity I would support if I were a celebrity is Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is the World's largest wish-granting organization. In 2007, they granted wishes to 13,006 children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. Since its beginning in 1980, this organization has granted more than 165,000 wishes. From an afternoon spent as a police officer or fire fighter to a visit to Disney World, the 25,000 volunteers who are a part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation give ill children their greatest wishes. President David Williams started the Make-A-Foundation for children who are in food for a last wish. The company started this Make-A-Wish Foundation for children to give them a wish because they are very ill and the parents can only give them this one last thing before they pass away. The children benefit from this because they get to make any wish they want and Make-A-Wish Foundation will grant it. I chose this charity because one of my friends that I have known since I was a baby has a tumor in her brain and she used this company to make her last and final wish. Overall, this article was about doing charities for communities and to just help out other people in need. In conclusion, the article showed many caring sides for people in need and showed that people need to get involved more with charities.

I have many things do to everyday in my life. When i wake up in the morning I turn on my straightener. Then I have pick out what I will be wearing for that day. Then I see if my straightener is hot enough for me to start to straighten my hair. Then I start to straighten my hair, afterwards, I put on my clothes for that day. Then I go into the kitchen and make my lunch. I don't eat the cafeteria lunch because it's unhealthy and I'm trying to eat healthier. I get out 2 pieces of bread and the peanut butter and jelly and make myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, then I get money from my mom and buy a bag of chips to eat with my sandwich because I have to eat chips with my sandwich. Then I find something really little to eat before school because I get sick if I eat in the morning. Then I brush my teeth and put on perfume and my make up and I'm out the door.

Then when I get to school I sit with my friends from the Academy. until the bell rings then we walk into Mrs. Kings class. We have to write in our assignment sheets and then we do the work for that class. Then we head off to Mrs. Schaefer and do our warm ups for that class and the work. Next, we are off to Mr. Alves class and doing our blogs or RTW. Following Mr. Alves class, I head off to Spanish with Mrs. Denizac and learn to speak it. Then I'm off to lunch to eat my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Then, I head off to Alg. 1 with Mr. Smith, where I really have to pay attention because Algebra is really hard for me. Next, I'm going to Mrs. Brewer's class for personal fitness, some days we are in the gym or some days we are in the portable. Finally, I'm at my last period of the day, Intensive reading with Mrs. Von. That class is too easy for me because the only reason why I'm in is because I failed the FCAT, but it comes easy to me, I just freeze up with the FCAT.

My day is not even close to being done. After 7th period I head off to the Athletic Training room and start to wrap wrists and tapping ankles. We have to give some people ice, and check them out to see if they are okay to practice their sport that day. If somebody gets ice we have to write in the book so we know who needs ice the next time and to watch out for them and see if they have the same injury again. Then I go to the locker room and change for Athletic Training, we are only aloud to wear guy gym shorts and an Athletic Trainer shirt. Then we go out to the Football field for their practice, football is the only sport we have to stay after for because there is too much contact for us not to be out there because someone could get seriously injured. We give them water and if someone gets hurt we have to run onto the field and help them. Then, after practice is over, we have to go back to the training room and cut off their tapped wrists and ankles. Then after all the sport players are gone, we have to clean the training room. Then I get to leave and go home to eat dinner and do homework. And after it's after 9 I finally head off to bed.

The article "Title IX" is about how many men discriminate against woman playing any kind of sport. It also talks about one woman, Edith Green, who changed this discrimination forever. She protested and took this to court. She believed that just because we are woman does not mean that we can't do the exact same things as men do or as good. It talks about how in some colleges they will accept every man but not woman. It also talks about the ratings of woman playing sports now because they are letting us now. Title IX is the name they gave for woman to play in sports and not to be discriminated anymore. It's also a certain law. No it's not fair because just because we are woman does not mean that we can't do half the things as men do. Woman are just as good and deserve to have the same chances and accommodations as men. It could be discrimination by limiting woman's rights to college sports because men have it. If they limit the rights for woman they should limit the rights for men. If they don't do it to both they shouldn't do it all. Just because woman might not be as physically fit as men, we can still do just as much. In my opinion, I believe that it's not right to discriminate against woman in anything because we are all the same just different on the outside and all deserve the same fair shot. In conclusion, woman get discriminated because we are woman and men don't because the law believed that it was okay.

It has changed by, now the law is strict about the title IX. They strictly enforce it now and believe strongly in it. Before, not everyone was for it, but now everyone believes that it's the right thing to do considering that it does matter how people are treated no matter what they are. Since then girls and woman have benefited from more participation opportunities more equitable facilities in athletics. Woman who are under the age of 10 when title IX passed have much higher participation rates than woman who grew up before title IX started. Most high school and college sports have increased also. It will be much higher rates than before and will come further than it already has. More playing opportunities and more funding for woman athletes. It will have much higher ratings and more woman will be playing in sports than before Title IX started and even when it first came out. In conclusion, the Title IX will be in much higher provoking than before it started and more woman are starting to join in sports to themselves and prove woman can also do it, not just men.

In Sports Marketing we doing a project called, Destination Project. We have to plan out a whole trip for millionares and we get to chose any place in the world we want to. I chose Hawaii, and we have to break everything down, even down to the littlest thing, the type of food they will be eating. We have detail it a lot. We have to do Hawaii's history, Unique Plants, Delicious Foods, Scenery, Tourist Attractions, "Must See" Locations, Possible Accomodations, Necssary Vaccinations, And an entire slide about local customs.

We also have to plan out every single transportation they will be taking, such as a sail boat around the Island, or a limo to every location. We have to write a 300 word essay on the transportation they will be taking around the Country. We also have to make an entire powerpoint about every little thing. We also have to make a Cover Page and a table of contents page. We have to draw a map of where we are going also. We have lay out a whole page on the costs, every single thing that has a cost. We also have to write them a selling letter to convince them to take the trip. And we even have to do a 7 day itinerary, and every 3 hours type what they will be doing.

Then, we have to go over everything we had done and make sure that we got everything, and make sure that the map is colored. We also have to draw where they are going on the map and make a key. We have to draw lines of where they are going and draw the capital also. We have to draw each Island that they will attending and even the little cities that they will be visting. We also have to color the whole map according to where they will be going. Like the Island can be colored green and the water willl be colored blue because they will be taking a boat. Each thing has to be done on microsoft word besides the information sheet and the map, because the powerpoint needs to go on microsoft powerpoint and the map needs to go on the manilla paper.

The article "The Impossible Drama?" is about students that go to college that can barely pay tuition, clothing, phone bills or car insurance. The students are working so much and a lot of them are working over time that they can barely find time to study, and the just drop out. The students work too many hours to even think about studying that most of them end up with a D by the end of the college semester. So many kids are having to work their way through college because the economy is so bad that the parents or guardians can't pay for their tuition or books that they students have to pay for it all. They have to work over time to pay for only tuition and books and don't have enough money for anything else important. They can't even find to time to study.

The financial aid is going up so high that students are unable to pay for it. Almost every year the financial aid goes up at least 69%. The financial aid is getting so bad that students are able to keep up the loans that they have to quit college and still have to work on paying it off. And they also have to worry about making enough money so that when they go back into college they won't have to worry about working they can just focus on studying. The most important thing that can be done to lower the dropout rate is to lower the rates for going to college. The dropout rate is 1922-93, 65%.

How I plan on paying for college is first of all try and keep my grades up as high as I can to try and get Bright Futures. I will also try and get a Scholarship so that way I can focus on my studies. I will also try my hardest to keep up my GPA average so that I will be able to get a student loan so that way I won't have to worry about paying off my loans so much. In my opinion I think that the college rates to take a year of class is ridiculous. It's not right to make students pay that much and score low grades because they don't have enough time to study because they are trying to focus on getting enough money to stay in college. In conclusion, the paying rates for college should be lowered so that students will be able to actually study for their classes instead of failing to pay off loans.

When i grow my dream job would to an EMT/Paramedic. I'm already in the Health Academy and an Athletic Trainer. I love Health related things, and seeing certain accidents or seeing someone badly hurt and me having to help them. It a real thrill to see those types of things. You just want to be right in the middle of all of it and help out or do whatever you can for that person so that you don't lose them. I love to watch those shows like Trauma or anything on Health Discovery. Health related things attract my attention and I love to see somebody pinned in a car accident or somebody got their leg blown of while trying to cross an intersection.

Being in the Health Academy gives me a really big advantage to being in the Health field. I learn a lot of new things and I get taught all Health relations. We have to wear our uniform every Tuesday to look professional, because being in any kind of field or career you always want to look professional or represent your team in a good way. Everyone in the academy wants to go into the Health field so we all know what we want to do so it makes it a lot easier to work with them and the teacher can point us in the right direction. We learn everything Health related, so it's a lot easier to work with someone who knows what they want to do rather than someone who would slack off because they aren't sure on what they want to do.

I also have another advantage. I'm an Athletic Trainer and HOSA. Being an Athletic Trainer i get to wrap someone up if they are badly hurt or i could just give them ice if they sprained and ankle. I'm out working as an Athletic Trainer till 6:30 or 7:00. So I'm usually at school for 12 to 13 hours. Its very tiring but well payed off because I learn a lot of new things and get to see many injuries or just get to learn how to do certain things that I would have to know as an EMT. I'm also in a program called HOSA. Which is Health Occupations Students Of America. We go to nursing homes and help out elderly people many different advantages.

The article "An Upscale At Wal-Mart?" is about the sales made and the popularity of the store. It tells us that Target and Wal-Mart are competing. It talks about how Wal-Mart is trying to lower their everyday prices so that more income will come in. They are also moving around the store to make everything more noticeable. They even lowered everything more to the ground so that more things could be higher for people to want and notice.

Wal-Mart is doing many things to upscale. They are lowering prices and moving the merchandise. They are also lowering prices because now Target is in the middle of the upscale. Wal-Mart and Target are now competing for the loyalty from the customers. Wal-Mart is upscaling in many different ways. I think it will work because everyone is already going to Wal-Mart for certain things so when the prices lower even more people will be going to Wal-Mart now.

In my opinion i think upscaling is a good idea of Wal-Mart. It will help out not only the customers but also the workers. Lowering the everyday is a good way to go for Wal-Mart. In conclusion, Wal-Mart upscaling their store and moving the merchandise to make the customers look around.

The article "Reebok deals up in the air" was about profits. It was a debate about different shoe company's wanting to sponsor the pro leagues. Such as, NFL, NHL, MLS and MLB. The shoe company's were Adidas and Reebok's, who were contemplating on who should sponsor the pro league. If Adidas and Reebok combine their company's, it would help costumers a lot. It could give them more opportunity's and choices.

If Adidas make a move to be the brand name associated with the leagues as part of a strategy to position Adidas and the premier performance brand. But even if it doesn't make that move, the sale of Reebok will necessitate amended agreements with the leagues. It's a good thing to combine the two company's according to the article. As stated, "When we talk about the collegiate licensed business, we have the licenses, but Reebok has the skills to produce, to be fast on the market, which we haven't used to the maximum potential. So combining the two, will give the pro leagues choices and each company has it's on advantage.

Reebok also owns more company's other than Adidas, they own 29. All combined together, including NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, and MLB. Owning multiple company's has it's advantages and disadvantages. Having multiple is a good thing because it gives the costumer's many different choices and opportunities. It gives them an advantage to many different things. The disadvantages are that one company might be liked more than the other. It also could mean that one company could be taking over the other.

My opinion in all of the debating, it that it's a good thing to combine two different company's because it gives a lot of advantages to the costumers. It means they get a lot more sponsors. In conclusion, it's a good thing to combine, it gives a lot more opportunities than, just one company sponsoring. It helps out the costumers a lot.

In sports marketing it is important to know what marketing means and why it is important to satisfy customers. First, Marketing is the creation and maintenance of satisfying exchange relationships. Maintenance means marketing must continue as long as a business operates. To know how to market is important because its your main business operation in the sports marketing business. It is very important to satisfy customers because if you don't satisfy them then they won't come back to your business. Customer's needs should be the primary focus during the planning, production, distribution, and promotion of a product or service. To satisfy the needs you need to perform 3 activities. First, you need to identify customer needs. Second, you need to develop products that customers consider better than other choices. And finally, you need to operate a business profitably.

Sports marketing is using sports to market products. Such as, Tiger Woods. He is the symbol of Gatorade. Now people want to buy Gatorade because of Tiger Woods. The first step in marketing a product to any audience is a determining the target market. A target market is a specific group of people you want to reach. In order to promote and sell products and services, a company must know the needs and wants of the target market. The strategies in sports marketing is also important. In today's competitive market, product's/service planners must be creative and two steps ahead of everyone else. Promotion is developed to attract the attention of the target group. Marketing strategies used by planners include sports logos on clothing, creation of new sports, gross impression and perfect timing.

Entertainment plays a big role in sports marketing. If there is no entertainment, no one will pay attention to what you have to say about your product. Entertainment will always be looked at as a product marketed. Entertaining a crowd is what it is all about in the sports marketing business because you have to keep the attention of an audience. Entertainment has to be worth someones time because they are viewing and buying whatever you are selling. Recreational marketing is what is renewing your body to amusing activity. Some examples of recreational marketing are golf, tennis, bowling and hiking. Which are all keeping the body amused. Recreational sports marketers entice people away from home-based entertainement.

My summer went great. I went on vacation to Miami, where my cousin lives. We went to the beach and went shopping. We also had a big slumber party with all of our friends & cooked out then an hour later we ordered pizza. We also went to the movies to see Funny people. It was hilarious. It was about this guy working for a famous comedian.
Then i went to Wet N Wild for 2 days and went on the rides accept Stuka and Bom Bay. Those are the rides that drop straight down. I also went on this ride called Disco H2o. You are in closed and drop far and then go in this Circe thing with disco lights and music. But my favorite is called the Black Hole, your in closed and its a giant slide doing spins and whipping you around.
I also stayed at a hotel, Perry's. It's really pretty, they have 3 pools and a hot tub
One pool is on one part of the hotel and the other pool is located at the other end. Then we have the pool that is located inside. It's really beautiful inside, there's palm trees and red lights that heat the inside. It goes from 4 feet to 7 feet. Its really up kept and the house keeping and maids are always coming around to clean up.
I spent a lot of time with my friends, for example, Allura. I spent the night at her house one night and stayed two days. She has a pool and a slide that goes into it. We went swimming and slid down the slide. I almost fell off. We also made water balloons and hit each other.
