The article "Going to Bat" is about these two brothers who are Latin Americans that own a business to bring in more profit. It talks about how the two brothers used to play for major league baseball and they own businesses to bring in more profit for their company. It also talks about the two brothers' cousin who also got into the business with the brothers. The cousins' name is Augustin Perez who brings in a lot of profit for the brothers. A monthly pay he gives the brothers is $600, which covers the $10,000 investment and a share of the profits. The two brothers are named The Guerrero Brothers and they also own a business for seafood so that fishermen don't have to worry about catching all the seafood and it going to waste because it got spoiled. They also get money in from the tending to a farm and having workers work on the farm to earn even more profit so that they can be more rich than they already are.

What inspires the brothers to do what they are doing is to donate more things to their community other than baseball equipment to local charities. Mr. Guerrero has helped to put together a kind of economic development program for his hometown of 12,000. He and his brothers , who also played baseball professionally for U.S. teams, have launched a slew of business ventures that play a big role in reducing local poverty, including construction-supply stores. a propane distributorship, livestock and a vegetable farm. It is important for celebrities to give back to the community because it shows the community that people do care and it also gives the celebrity some good publicity. It shows that the celebrity is willing to give back. It could also benefit the community because when Augustin Perez asked for money from the brothers to buy a bus, that helped out the community because it gave them more transportation they already had before. The celebrity can be noticed as a helping hand and have people love that celebrity more than before because that celebrity is helping out to give back to the community.

The charity I would support if I were a celebrity is Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is the World's largest wish-granting organization. In 2007, they granted wishes to 13,006 children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. Since its beginning in 1980, this organization has granted more than 165,000 wishes. From an afternoon spent as a police officer or fire fighter to a visit to Disney World, the 25,000 volunteers who are a part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation give ill children their greatest wishes. President David Williams started the Make-A-Foundation for children who are in food for a last wish. The company started this Make-A-Wish Foundation for children to give them a wish because they are very ill and the parents can only give them this one last thing before they pass away. The children benefit from this because they get to make any wish they want and Make-A-Wish Foundation will grant it. I chose this charity because one of my friends that I have known since I was a baby has a tumor in her brain and she used this company to make her last and final wish. Overall, this article was about doing charities for communities and to just help out other people in need. In conclusion, the article showed many caring sides for people in need and showed that people need to get involved more with charities.

I have many things do to everyday in my life. When i wake up in the morning I turn on my straightener. Then I have pick out what I will be wearing for that day. Then I see if my straightener is hot enough for me to start to straighten my hair. Then I start to straighten my hair, afterwards, I put on my clothes for that day. Then I go into the kitchen and make my lunch. I don't eat the cafeteria lunch because it's unhealthy and I'm trying to eat healthier. I get out 2 pieces of bread and the peanut butter and jelly and make myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, then I get money from my mom and buy a bag of chips to eat with my sandwich because I have to eat chips with my sandwich. Then I find something really little to eat before school because I get sick if I eat in the morning. Then I brush my teeth and put on perfume and my make up and I'm out the door.

Then when I get to school I sit with my friends from the Academy. until the bell rings then we walk into Mrs. Kings class. We have to write in our assignment sheets and then we do the work for that class. Then we head off to Mrs. Schaefer and do our warm ups for that class and the work. Next, we are off to Mr. Alves class and doing our blogs or RTW. Following Mr. Alves class, I head off to Spanish with Mrs. Denizac and learn to speak it. Then I'm off to lunch to eat my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Then, I head off to Alg. 1 with Mr. Smith, where I really have to pay attention because Algebra is really hard for me. Next, I'm going to Mrs. Brewer's class for personal fitness, some days we are in the gym or some days we are in the portable. Finally, I'm at my last period of the day, Intensive reading with Mrs. Von. That class is too easy for me because the only reason why I'm in is because I failed the FCAT, but it comes easy to me, I just freeze up with the FCAT.

My day is not even close to being done. After 7th period I head off to the Athletic Training room and start to wrap wrists and tapping ankles. We have to give some people ice, and check them out to see if they are okay to practice their sport that day. If somebody gets ice we have to write in the book so we know who needs ice the next time and to watch out for them and see if they have the same injury again. Then I go to the locker room and change for Athletic Training, we are only aloud to wear guy gym shorts and an Athletic Trainer shirt. Then we go out to the Football field for their practice, football is the only sport we have to stay after for because there is too much contact for us not to be out there because someone could get seriously injured. We give them water and if someone gets hurt we have to run onto the field and help them. Then, after practice is over, we have to go back to the training room and cut off their tapped wrists and ankles. Then after all the sport players are gone, we have to clean the training room. Then I get to leave and go home to eat dinner and do homework. And after it's after 9 I finally head off to bed.

The article "Title IX" is about how many men discriminate against woman playing any kind of sport. It also talks about one woman, Edith Green, who changed this discrimination forever. She protested and took this to court. She believed that just because we are woman does not mean that we can't do the exact same things as men do or as good. It talks about how in some colleges they will accept every man but not woman. It also talks about the ratings of woman playing sports now because they are letting us now. Title IX is the name they gave for woman to play in sports and not to be discriminated anymore. It's also a certain law. No it's not fair because just because we are woman does not mean that we can't do half the things as men do. Woman are just as good and deserve to have the same chances and accommodations as men. It could be discrimination by limiting woman's rights to college sports because men have it. If they limit the rights for woman they should limit the rights for men. If they don't do it to both they shouldn't do it all. Just because woman might not be as physically fit as men, we can still do just as much. In my opinion, I believe that it's not right to discriminate against woman in anything because we are all the same just different on the outside and all deserve the same fair shot. In conclusion, woman get discriminated because we are woman and men don't because the law believed that it was okay.

It has changed by, now the law is strict about the title IX. They strictly enforce it now and believe strongly in it. Before, not everyone was for it, but now everyone believes that it's the right thing to do considering that it does matter how people are treated no matter what they are. Since then girls and woman have benefited from more participation opportunities more equitable facilities in athletics. Woman who are under the age of 10 when title IX passed have much higher participation rates than woman who grew up before title IX started. Most high school and college sports have increased also. It will be much higher rates than before and will come further than it already has. More playing opportunities and more funding for woman athletes. It will have much higher ratings and more woman will be playing in sports than before Title IX started and even when it first came out. In conclusion, the Title IX will be in much higher provoking than before it started and more woman are starting to join in sports to themselves and prove woman can also do it, not just men.

In Sports Marketing we doing a project called, Destination Project. We have to plan out a whole trip for millionares and we get to chose any place in the world we want to. I chose Hawaii, and we have to break everything down, even down to the littlest thing, the type of food they will be eating. We have detail it a lot. We have to do Hawaii's history, Unique Plants, Delicious Foods, Scenery, Tourist Attractions, "Must See" Locations, Possible Accomodations, Necssary Vaccinations, And an entire slide about local customs.

We also have to plan out every single transportation they will be taking, such as a sail boat around the Island, or a limo to every location. We have to write a 300 word essay on the transportation they will be taking around the Country. We also have to make an entire powerpoint about every little thing. We also have to make a Cover Page and a table of contents page. We have to draw a map of where we are going also. We have lay out a whole page on the costs, every single thing that has a cost. We also have to write them a selling letter to convince them to take the trip. And we even have to do a 7 day itinerary, and every 3 hours type what they will be doing.

Then, we have to go over everything we had done and make sure that we got everything, and make sure that the map is colored. We also have to draw where they are going on the map and make a key. We have to draw lines of where they are going and draw the capital also. We have to draw each Island that they will attending and even the little cities that they will be visting. We also have to color the whole map according to where they will be going. Like the Island can be colored green and the water willl be colored blue because they will be taking a boat. Each thing has to be done on microsoft word besides the information sheet and the map, because the powerpoint needs to go on microsoft powerpoint and the map needs to go on the manilla paper.
