As the week was going on, i was looking forward to my upcoming weekend. I knew i had a lot of things to do in such little time. My weekend was so busy! I had more than enough things to do, and i really wanted to catch up on sleep. But i knew that was not going to be the case. First, Friday night was thought to be a good night, but unfortunately it was not. I made this shirt for a kid named Kendal. We have been talking and so i decided i wanted to stand out in his eyes so i made the shirt Thursday. Friday was battle of the Boulevards, (Deltona) and i went to the away game. When i got there they had already been warming up.

So i waited till after the game to talk to him, but instead of him coming up to me, he completely ignored me and i didn't know why. Levi had told me that hes been playing me and he had been with a girl the night i was making the shirt. I was really fed up so i took off the shirt, i had an undershirt on, and threw it in his face and said "Sorry, I guess you were a mistake." Now i am the topic of the Baseball field because they knew he was playing me and they thought it was brave of me to do that in front of the players.

So on Saturday, I really didn't feel like going to the Sports Medicine Workshop, (Student Athletic Training) because i was still really fed up with the whole thing that had gone down on Friday. I had to wake up at 7 in the morning in order to get to the workshop in time for it to start. I had to direct the schools on where things were, we played games and shirts that Alyssa, Melissa, Jazmin are wearing today, (Monday). It ended at 4 and by that time we were all exhausted, so we canceled our plans to go out to dinner and we just slept when we got back to our houses.

On Sunday, the academy went bowling and it started at 12, so once again i could not sleep in. I had to wake up at 10:30 because it takes me very long to get ready. So we got to the bowling alley and we got bumpers because when i bowl i usually don't get higher than a 20. But since we had bumpers, i broke 100. My score was 101, and i was very proud. We had a lot of fun and now the bowling coach wants to recruit Alyssa and I. Then after we had played 3 games, Alyssa and I went back to my house. We decided that it would be fun to go to Taylor's to go horse back riding.

So when we got to Taylor's, she was teaching us how to ride correctly or else we would fall off. Alyssa went first and she fell off really hard, twice! It was really funny, but by then i was really scared to ride, after watching her fall off. But once i got i on i got the hang of it, and it was a lot of fun. So after we were done riding, Alyssa and I went back to my house for dinner. Her mom came and picked her up after we were done eating. When she left, i did my homework, took a shower and went on myspace for a little bit. Then i went to bed and before i knew, it was time for me to get up for school. Now here i am in Mr. Alves class writing his Monday blogs!

The article "2010 Winter Olympic Bids" is about the new Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. It talks about the past Olympians and who was involved. In December 3, 1998 the first round of voting for who goes in the Olympics had started. Vancouver won the bidding process to host the Olympics by a vote on the International Olympic Committee on July 2, 2003 at the 115th IOC Session held in Prague, Czech Republic. The Olympics in an international, world wide event that many people attend to, to become known as a somebody. They compete in the event that they would like to, such as figure skating, skiing, luge, ice hockey and speed skating. They compete for a gold metal, and one person get a gold, the second place gets silver and third gets bronze. People from all countries compete to win. I chose this article in particular because i love to watch the Winter Olympics. It is very interesting to watch how different countries and see if the U.S.A could win a gold. The Olympics only come every four years, so after four years we get to see the Winter sports compete. Its just a lot of fun to see who gets to win and see how good people really are. It would be interesting to others because everyone loves to watch the Olympics. Many people tune in to the channel 4 on Bright House, to see the Olympics. It has many viewings and people always love to see if U.S.A can win a gold, in either speed skating, skiing, figure skating, etc. Others should learn that the Olympics is not always fun and games. Many of the players in the events work for four years to finally get where they need to be, but when it comes down to it at the event, they get hurt, lose or even die. They do not always have fun and they usually get injured. This is important for people to know because many people do not understand how much they could potentially get hurt.

My everyday schedule is very hectic. I have many things that go on in my life that it is very hard to keep up with anything anymore. I will start off with my everyday morning. When i wake up in the morning at 6:05, my alarm is blaring and my song is "Cowboy Casanova." Then i finally roll out of bed and immediately turn on my "Chi", a hair straightener. Then i put in my contacts and brush my hair then head to the bathroom to do my hair. My usual time it takes for me to straighten my hair is around 15 minutes. Then when I'm done with my hair, i head to the kitchen and make my lunch. Which has been the same since the beginning of the year, a turkey sandwich. Then i eat a banana everyday for breakfast too.

Then i go to the living room and watch "Full House," i watch that every single morning because it wakes me up in the morning. Then when i am done with eating and watching my favorite show of all time, i go into my room and pick out what i would like to wear. That usually takes me around 10 minutes because i try on one thing then i don't like how i look in it, so i have to try on like 20 other different things. Then, when i am done figuring out what i think looks good, i put on my make up. Putting on my make up takes around 5 to 10 minutes on an average day. Then i go to wake up my mom to take me to school, then i put on my perfume and deodorant. I get my turkey sandwich out of the fridge. Then its off to school!

When i get to school, the late bell rings and then i show up Mrs. Kings class. When i get to Mrs. Kings class i put my lunch in her fridge which is in her back room. Then class starts, from there on out i have to work real hard to keep my grades up. Mrs. Kings class is fairly easy, but then its off to Mrs. Schaffer and her class is a killer! We do more than necessary i there, then Mr. Alves here we come! I love Alves class, he is so funny and always makes the work fun. Although we found out he is liar we still love him. Then Spanish, ugh I'm never ready for that class. It is so annoying in there, she always says that we are going to have an easy day but it never works out that way. Then lunch, yummy! Turkey sandwich here i come! Then algebra, that class would have to be the hardest class, i suck at math so it is extremely hard in there for me. Then Ms. Brewer and i love her class! We are like homies, and i love being able to just get all my energy out during P.E. Then its intensive reading. Ugh, unfortunately i have to be in that class. Then off to the training room!

I love this part of my day! The training room is so much fun because i get to see all of my friends, and i get learn more and more everyday about medical stuff. I usually have to work almost every other day, and although it is a lot of fun, it is very tiring. When i work, i don't get home until 9:30 or 10. But i still love it. Then when the game is over, or i don't have to work, i call one of my family members who is off work to come get me. Then i go home, eat and do homework, so that way i have the rest of the night to relax or watch TV. Then i go to bed and my whole schedule starts all over again. That is the exciting life of Caitlin!

The article "Rumble in the Skatepark", is about how the new brand of shoes is taking over the businesses for skateboards. Its called Savier, and many interviewed skateboards has said that they feel great on their feet and they are very high-tech because of its soles. It talks about how Nike and Vans was one of the very first businesses that skateboards has gone to, they like the shoes because they are comfortable and they are great to skate in. On the other hand, Savier, the new business is coming in with a great deal of skateboards going to them, making Vans their newest rival. This article is interesting to me because although i do not know how to skateboard, i like to watch it. It is a very original sport that not many people are able to master. Its interesting to know that businesses are loyal to their buyers and vise versa with the buyers. The skateboarders like to skate in comfortable affordable shoes, and thats where these interesting businesses come in at. Nike wouldnt just stick to a bigger sport because Nike is known for the business of skateboarders. Everyone knows that Nike is a company that the skateboarders stick to because they are comfortable and affordable. I believe it is a good strategy by Nike because if they are already known for their company why change it? They receive more money than any other company because people love to know that skateboarders get their shoes from there. In conclusion, although Nike has a new rival, Savier, they still could probably keep the business going because people love the fact that they are very well known in the business. Nike, Vans and Savier are companies that skateboarders shop at for comfortable shoes and knowing that they are affordable.

Skateboarding was first started in the 1950s, when all across California sufers got the idea of surfing on the streets. In 1963, skateboarding was at a peak of popularity and companies like Jack's, Hobie, and Makaha started holding skateboarding competitions. Torger Johnson, Woody Woodward, and Danny Berer were some of the well known skateboarders at this time. In 1965, skate boardings popularity suddenly crashed. Most people assumed that skateboarding was a fad that has died out. Skateboard companies had folded, and people who wanted to skate had to make their own skateboards from scratch again. In 1972, Frank Nasworthy invented urethane skateboard wheels, which are similar to what most skateboarders use today. His company was called the Cadillac wheels. In 1975, skateboarding took an evolutionary boost toward the sport we see today. In Del Mar, California a slalom and freestyle contest was held at the Ocean Festival. That day, the Zephyr team showed the world what skateboarding could be. Although, skateboarding has many things to it, you have to have comfortable shoes to be able to actually compete. In the 1990s, Nike tried multimillion-dollar ad campaigns, opened up an office in Orange County, Calif. and teamed up with the surf-skate clothing label Counter Culture for brainstorming sessions. But the Orange County office closed within three months, after Nike's line of skate shoes and clothes failed to attract much attention at trade shows. The business has grown much since back in the 1900s. Now a days, we actually have many people into skateboarding and many people shop at these places unlike back then when people were not really into it. Many people buy shoes and clothing at Nike and Vans, to show off that they are a skateboarder, and that is considered cool, and back then it was not. Many businesses such as Nike are a multimillion-dollar business, and back then they could barely get customers.
