My vacation over Thanksgiving Break was good. I did many things over the break and did a lot of activities to keep myself busy over the 5 day break. On Tuesday we had school, but i didn't go because the before, Monday, i had to work a game and i got home at 10 and had a lot of homework to do, so i decided to stay home. Tuesday i slept in and finished up the homework from the night before and then took a nap and made dinner for my family. On Wednesday, i baked some cakes for Thanksgiving and made some things that had to refrigerate over night. I made 1 cake and 4 pies, and some dips that had to sit in the fridge.

I also made some homemade cranberry sauce, it turned out gross. On Thursday, i woke up at 9 in order to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then i started to make some other things that didn't have to sit over night. Such as, the stuffing that we stuffed into the turkey. We had family come over that i hadn't seen in awhile and we ate and watched the cowboys play. On Friday, i slept in while my parents went out to shop for Christmas on Black Friday. They had left at 5 and got home at 4 in the afternoon. Then we had gotten subs for dinner.

On Saturday, i waited for my mom to take me Christmas shopping but she had just gotten off of work from Friday night and was too tired to go shopping, so i cleaned the house for my mom. On Sunday, we always have a family tradition where my family comes over for dinner every Sunday for dinner. Then i cleaned up the kitchen and watched a Christmas movie then went to bed, to make it to school for today. My Thanksgiving Break was a relaxing one, and i did a lot of little things, but it refreshed me for today.

They've always been there for me, through thick and thin. No matter how hard times got they never gave up on me or never not helped me. They've always given me advice and taught me from right and wrong. These three people mean the world to me. I don't know what i would do without them, they've made me who i am today. They have always been the most important people in my life.

She's my mom, and my best friend. Her name is Cindy Ange Gray. My mom has always been there for me even when times were rough for her. She cares for me when I'm down and laughs with me when I'm happy. My mom is a person that has always been a caring and warm person, who even though, may not always have people there for her, she will always be there for you. She's always giving you advice but will never take advice from you because she thinks that its a sign of weakness and will deal with it on her own. I love her more than anything and i will always be there for her, like she is for me.

My sister is one of my favorite people because she is not only my sister but one of my true best friends, i go for her for everything and she will always tell me right thing to do. She never gives up on me because, although i may a lot to get off my chest or a lot to vent, she is always the person to have around because she never not gives you bad advice. She is always taking me shopping to cheer me up when I'm down. She does the best that she can to make me happy when i feel like nothing else can go wrong.

Alyssa Jeannie Jones. My best friend in the whole world. We have so many insiders and always make a bad situation into a funny one. Like, when I'm sad we will make up an insider to cheer me up and then that will be our new insider that we never stop talking about. I go to her about everything, down to what i should wear to impress a guy. I talk to her about all my problems and she comes to me about hers. We have best friend telepathy, when she says something, we think of the same thing and say it at the same time. We always have the best conversations and people wish that they could have a best friend relationship like we do. I'm always going to her and she always comes to me. She's my best friend for life and we are conjoined at the hip.

Having your favorite people around can always cheer you up. For you to have a favorite person you have to trust them with everything in order to tell them about your problems. These three people may not be famous or anything like that, but to me they are the greatest people in the world. I never want to lose them, they give me great advice, help me out and just all around make me laugh. I love them so much and they are truly my best friends.

The article "Colleges Ward off Over Involved Parents" is about how parents are not letting their children go. They are babying them and doing almost everything for them, such as filling out applications for them to attend the college without the adolescent even attending it with the parent. It also talks about how some colleges are actually having programs for the parents and teaching them how to let go and let the adolescent grow up. It talks about certain parents and children that are doing this at a specific college. The parents in this article are very involved with their child's life and are not willing to let go just yet. Schools are doing this because they want their students to be young adults and be responsible for their own actions and responsibilities. They are also doing this to help out the parents in letting their child grow up and responsible adults. They want the students to come to their class prepared and doing things how they do it, not how their parents want them too.

I believe schools are right for doing this because if they don't do it, who will? Students and young adults need to learn the fact that their parents will not always be there for their parents to baby them. It teaches the adolescents how to grow up and show that in college you will not be babied and will not always have someone holding your hand along the way. Students will benefit from this because it will allow them to grow up and be the young adults they should be. It benefits them in a number of ways, it helps them with learning the responsibilities of a young adult. I believe my parents will not act like this, even though my parents encourage me and love me, they will not act over involved because they know that sometimes students just need their space in order to learn responsibilities. In my opinion i think its a great idea for colleges to have this program for the parents, its much needed if they want their child to grow up to be responsible mature adults. In conclusion, parents are way too involved and need to back up in order for their child to be the person that their parents want them to be.

Everyone is suffering from this horrible economic recession and its no different for the NBA. Many teams are having to cut back in order to stay financially stable. Teams are accomplishing this by cutting back on how much they spend on uniforms, halftime shows, and eliminating the benefits that employees receive. Teams are specifically taking out things that are not really needed and keeping things that are specifically are important. NBA teams make their money from ticket sales, merchandise, and concession stand sales, these are the three main things that bring in the money. In my opinion its better if a team cuts back on their jerseys and traveling cost because private jets are not needed.

The article "Megabucks" is about colleges raising money to be able to compete in sports. It also talks about how much money the college pays in order for the athletes to compete in the sport. The school spends $110,000 on each of its 980 athletes. It talks about the percentage of attractions the colleges get for each of the sport. OSU games routinely attract 60% of all local viewers. The schools or colleges bring in money by people who go to the sport have to pay to be able to view or see them play and that's how the college or school brings in the money because if that particular sport gets popular enough, they will raise a lot of money for the college. They make most of the money by football and basketball. But some sports also bring in money but not as much as college football and basketball. The UF football team brought in over $100 million a year into the local economy, with more than a third coming from fans' spending on hotels, food, parking and shopping.

The schools or colleges are spending the money in a very positive way. A significant chunk of the athletic department's budgets is spent in ways that will benefit the school's general fund. The athletic department will spend $12 million on scholarships or "grant an aid" to pay for an athletes tuition. It is very important to have a strong football program because that is where all the money for tuition and scholarships and "grant an aid" comes in. The football team makes enough money to help out the school in any money situation because if the football team gets popular enough, the fans' and even the enemy will show up and pay to get in and make the school get even more money and it helps out the money. In my opinion, i believe that it is good to have a football team to earn the school more money because it gives the school popularity and money for the school to be better. In conclusion, the college gets money and it puts toward the school and the college earns percentages and millions of dollars.
